Soil Management in Rice Fields(Soil test project)
Objective
- To develop farmers’ knowledge on soil management in rice fields
- To analyze soil nutrients
- To help farmers understand the nutrient needs of rice at different growth stages
- To identify guidelines for improving soil nutrient through organic farming practices
- To expand and transfer knowledge so farmers can conduct their own soil analysis
Location : Extension office(Warehouse 2) and group area of those who registered in the project
Date : February – May 2025
Participants : 69 participants (11 new-generation OASIS farmers and staff 5 male, 6 female, 58 OASIS member farmers 18 male, 40 female)
Number of soil samples tested : 108 samples

- Farmers gained knowledge in soil management for rice farming
- Farmers were able to analyze soil nutrients
- Farmers understood nutrient needs of rice at different growth stages
- Farmers received clear guidelines for improving soil nutrient using organic methods
- A plan was developed to expand and share this knowledge so farmers can analyze their own soil independently
